Grumpy Old Man

Half way

Left home before eleven this morning, picked up Daughter One at the ferry and Daughter Two in Glasgow and carried on down the M74 and M6, turning off near Kendal and heading for the village of Crooklands and the Crooklands Hotel.

We stayed here last year en route to Shropshire - it's a nice place almost next to the Lancaster Canal. After dinner we went for a walk along the canal - a warm evening!

Back for a cuppa and then I went out again for a walk up to the local church - my extra today.

A visit to Sizergh Castle tomorrow morning, then the ferry to the Isle of Man.
