2024 Thursday — Celebration

This morning I celebrated with the Morro Bay Bible Study Fellowship (BSF) women's group as we completed our week-by-week study thru the Gospel book of John. Since mid-September we have opened the pages of John's Gospel and have cross referenced John's words with verses throughout the Old and New Testaments.

We have seen again and again that Scripture explains Scripture. We have seen in every verse, in every chapter, that our faith is based on facts. We watched Jesus live in a tumultuous, chaotic, hate-filled world that was marred by wicked government, corrupt religion, and hopeless people. Jesus gathered twelve of the most unlikely people to tell His story, His message.

Each Thursday morning we gathered to discuss what we had individually discovered or learned in our study. We met so many people in the Gospel of John. We learned about many of Jesus's miracles. But most of all, we learned about the person Jesus; He is God.

We not only studied together, we laughed, we prayed, we cried, we ate. We watched as John's Gospel not only informed us, but transformed us. John wrote powerfully. Jesus came not to condemn us, but to save us. Do you know Him?

Look online for BSF -- studies for both women’s groups and men’s groups. You might find a place to study online or in person. In September we begin the book of Revelation.
