Cold morning

My photo is taken at sunrise this morning. We were rather cold with the outside temperature at 4 degrees. Living on the hills spoils us somewhat as we are high enough to avoid morning frost. What I did not realise was that the city was shivering with  a -2 degree frost, and that the airport had recorded -6.3 degrees. The best outcome of a frosty morning is that it is always followed by a beautiful sunny and calm day. There will be many more of these days to come. Luckily for us, we are traveling in France and the UK from late June to early August so we should experience very warm weather and avoid the worst of the New Zealand winter.
