2024 Monday — Weeds

After dinner Chloe, Mitzi, and I walked up the street (north), which feels like down the street because the street is descending the hill that we live on. We are about 2 blocks from the Catholic Church which is on the corner of Park Ave and Park Avenue. That’s right! Park Avenue makes a right-hand (southward) bend and comes up and over the hill past our place and continues on further up the hill then descends to 13th Street. Park Avenue in front of the Catholic Church should have been 3rd Street. Our portion of Park Avenue is perpendicular to 4th, 5th, 6th Streets and so on. If those streets came uphill to Park Ave we would be somewhere between 5th and 6th Street.

The pups had not walked today, so they thoroughly enjoyed being out for a stroll. These wildflowers (weeds) are just across our narrow street in the vacant lot that is currently displaying a “For Sale” sign.

P.S. This morning was the ladies Breakfast Bible Study and our wonderful leader Susan could not be present because of an important medical appointment for her husband, so the Ukulele Ladies came and did a concert for us; we enjoyed breakfast, but skipped having a study. The concert they presented was wonderful.

P.P.S. Our friends, Scott & Peg, posted on their social media the announcement and photos of their son, Miah, graduating today with his masters degree in creative writing. So this has been quite a day.
