2023 Saturday — Mr. Fun & the Bus

Saturday — Day 7 of Anniversary Month (we celebrate from April 30th to May 29th and then we spend the next month sweeping the confetti, pulling the streamers from the chandeliers, and deflating the Mylar balloons).

Because we had attended the Cruise Parade at the Morro Bay Car Show last night, I thought we'd stay home today.

However, Mr. Fun had a vehicle he wanted to see again. So we packed the pups in the backseat and headed 4 miles south. Of all the cars that paraded last night the one that caught his attention was a bus.

If you knew Mr. Fun's bus history you wouldn't be surprised. Mr. Fun can give all the details about the body, the chassis, the paint, the engine, the windows, and more. I can tell you that it's owned by David Gongora who has a home in Morro Bay and a home and a speed shop in Pomona. He restored this bus to be a beauty and its story is quite interesting.

We looked up-close-and-personal at many other cars so, I fell in like with several but my favorite is a 1951 Chevrolet 5-window pick-up (not pictured).

Our marriage has included lots and lots of car talk, car races, car magazines, and well anything cars. So it is apropos to include drooling on cars as part of our anniversary celebration.
