Strike a Pose

Great to have my friends Kate and Janet join me in Valencia yesterday evening. We had a rather late night (we explored Valencia until after midnight) but undeterred, we ventured into the city today to explore some of the sights including the main squares and the Mercat Central. We had horchata and fartons (typical Valencian drink made from tiger nuts and cakes) we climbed 207 steps up the Micalet bell tower of the Cathedral (great view) we went to yet another sung Mass and then bought a custard apple (looks and tastes nothing like an apple) and paid a euro for 19 artichokes at the Mercat Central!
Home for a late lunch and a siesta before a wander around the Parque Central and then a stroll along the Turia garden in the evening. Tired tonight but a very memorable day.
