Day 20 Camino Carrion de los Condes to Ledigos

Today was a gruelling one for your feet. The ground was baked and covered in loose stones., always a challenge for your feet. The road was unusually straight almost the entire way which meant that you could more easily see the pilgrims scattered over the Camino both forwards and backwards. We are.a big group!
Our first stretch was 17km without any towns or villages. That would exolain why I met so many pilgrims in the supermarket in Carrion de los C - they were all stocking up on food and drink. Fortunately, a food truck had set up his pop up cafe on the side of the road which was heaving with pilgrims. After stopping in our first town after walking 17km I’m hot sun (a welcome change!), we refuelled and walked a further 6km to our final destination pretty exhausted. Looking forward to our communal meal tonight.
