VE Day

I have never been one to glorify war. But today must surely be a day to remember the poor souls who never came back home.

It was such a lovely warm day too, but it felt slightly poignant as I walked back to the car via the War memorial.

We never learn unfortunately. Or rather the egomaniacs in power never learn.

In happier news, a butterfly landed on my hand today. I watched it as it had a stretch, unfurled & furled its proboscis, then went on its way.
A small but beautiful moment.
