Jack in the Green
Tim and I walked down to the town for the Jack in the Green parade today. Popped into Forty Three shop on the way, to say hello to Sally (the lovely lady I met in there, and who suggested I might want to take over their pop-up stand to sell some of my photos in the summer). We followed the parade down the High Street and Fore Street and back along to Capstone, where it culminated with a lot of maypole dancing, and finally with the stripping of branches from 'Jack'. We, along with lots of others in the crowd, were presented with a couple of the branches - and then went and wanged them into the sea. (Tradition, innit.) All good fun!
