Rocket's Red Glare
Oh, say can you see by the dawn's early light
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars thru the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watched were so gallantly streaming?
And the rocket's red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.
Oh, say does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?
A busy day getting ready for my aunt and cousins to visit. A lovely barbecue and dinner and then outside to watch the neighborhood fireworks display. In Washington state, fireworks are allowed to be "bursting in air", so it is fun to see the 'show'. Then we came inside to watch the TV which shows our local Ft. Vancouver fireworks display. Now it's bedtime!!
