GR221 Cuber reservoir to Lluc Monastery

I wasn't sure about today's walk because there was a lot of descent... Elizabeth decided not to do it, but I walked and it was much better than I thought! I even got my poles out for the down, although I'm such a novice with them that I'm not sure if they're worth it or a liability. Usually I only use them for scree, deep mud or to cross streams. We saw vultures from the coll where we lunched, the highest point on this trek at 1,200 metres.

We're staying at the monastery at Lluc for our last two nights, and it's a very impressive building, also see extras. We waited a while to be seated for dinner, in spite of our guide having arranged it with Reception. Meanwhile a joss stick was smelling disgusting nearby, I've never liked them, until Rory stuck it's burning end into the soil!

Edit: The guide had stressed the fact that we needed to carry at least 1.5 litres of water, and Ron complied. Good!

I'd had more beans, tomato etc for lunch, but because I was so sick of endless fish I tried some meat - a small slab of veal. It led to me taking ages to get to sleep, I suppose because meat is much harder to digest and I'm just not used to it now, and then a very uncomfortable tummy early morning. Lesson learned.
