The Bartlow Walk

Thoroughly enjoyed playing with Linton Jazz at the Bartlow Walk this afternoon.  The weather was unexpectedly  perfect and I managed to catch up with several people I didn't know would be there.  Blown away with our soloists today esp. Simon on the trumpet whose top range trumpet playing is truly amazing (extra).

In exciting news I met a French Horn player that might be interested in joining us ... I'll keep you posted.

Duck news: Still 11 with voracious appetites and no fear.  After yesterday's drowning lesson today we watched the ducklings diving and swimming underwater.  It's all happening so fast!

In other bird news: Fluffy the blue tit is no longer staying overnight in the birdbox.  Fingers crossed it was a 'him' and he found a mate, though I have to say he's left the place in a bit of a state.
