Loch Brora
A very pleasant and quite busy day. We had an early start as the third person to come round and look at our crazy paving with a view to giving us a quotation for replacement came at 8am. 0750, in fact, to be precise. That was a fairly early start for a Saturday morning. After a bit of pottering in the garden first thing (including moving some plants which were outgrowing their locations), Mr A and I headed up to Corry Croft Nursery, first visited on a hot day in July. The selection of plants out of the nursery is quite different in May, and we picked up a number of specimens for the front and back gardens.
Thereafter we took the long way home, carrying on up to Loch Brora and back down the coastline. It was a good drive, especially since the bracken that was choking the countryside when we first drove that way back in August is not yet in evidence.
In the afternoon, I managed a peloton ride on the static bike and a bit more weeding and tidying in the garden, and Mr A planted out a few of the new plants.
In the evening, we went round to N and A's where we had an excellent Italian themed dinner, much love with Elmer, who really is a new dog, and great chat as ever. We're delighted they are within touching distance of getting in to their new house after a tedious wait for very slow purchasers.... We took them a bunch of flowers comprising the last of the complex narcissi from the back garden, which I photographed and will upload if blip allows me to (it won't at the moment). We wanted them to enjoy the flowers as we won't be doing, sadly.
