Nuthatch two
Today, on a beautiful morning, I went after the nuthatches again. My ambition is to get a blip of them both together - meanwhile, to have got a shot of this one, facing down the tree trunk in a typical 'nuthatch' pose makes me pretty happy!
This afternoon I went up to Badger Farm to have my Covid booster jab. I nearly didn't get it because they said I was too young - hoho!! It's not going to be many more times in my life anyone's going to say that to me ;)) Afterwards I walked back to St Cross over Whiteshute Ridge, rather hoping to see some butterflies, but the clouds came over and they mostly disappeared. I also walked into a real drama: a lovely labrador-type dog had managed to get onto the railway track and was stuck behind an eight foot high, spike-topped metal fence only about 1 metre away from passing trains. Official sources were, apparently, useless, but two good local blokes managed to retrieve Doggy so all worked out okay. There were a few tears (and yes, also from me).
So that's my day. Altogether a better one that some politicians have had!
Take care, lovely blippers xx
