Pittenweem Harbour
We walked around the village this morning. Then along the beach and the coastal path for a bit. It was windy and overcast.
In the afternoon I mowed the grass and strimmed the edges in sunshine.
I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed with all the jobs to be done in the garden. I had to have a serious word with myself about the difference between what, in an ideal world where I’m super fit and a lot younger, I would like to do, and what I actually need to do. I know I need to finish painting the fence, and put new putty on the shed windows, and paint the bench, but pretty much everything else is a choice, such as sowing and planting vegetables, planting out the pots on the patio, cleaning out the shed and weeding. Then there’s the windows to wash! Is that a need to do, or a want to do? Seems wrong to hope for a heavy shower of window-washing rain! Then there’s the carpets that haven’t been shampooed for over a year. I promised myself I would do them in Spring. And, of course I’ve still to paint the woodwork in the hall! And Geordie needs a bath. And I’m not even going to mention the state of my cupboards!
I’m glad I changed my bedding today because I feel like getting into bed and pulling the covers over my head!
Just one of those days…weeks…months!
