Bristol day 1: Easton
Will lives in Easton, a wonderfully characterful and multicultural area full of Asian supermarkets, hipster bakeries, superb Indian restaurants, mosques, Sikh temples, activist wholefood shops, Baptist churches, graffiti and general buzziness. Parts are severely dilapidated, and many people are living in vans on the side of the road but gentrification is creeping in - evidenced by bug hotels in the tiny front gardens and funkily painted houses - 1880s villas in the main. I liked it.
