Battersea…

We’ve been meaning to visit here since it opened. Today we made it. Not sure what to make of it really. Amazing architecture but very empty of people. OK, it is only Thursday. We walked from Sloane Square, over Chelsea Bridge, past the Chelsea Hospital, residence of the Chelsea pensioners and into Battersea. We’d met Matthew briefly before that which was great in his busy work days.

Then a different route back to Victoria Palace Theatre to watch Hamilton; the story of Alexander Hamilton one of the American founding fathers who wrote much of the constitution.Once we adjusted to the rap delivery of the storyline, we really enjoyed it. We’d had family recommendation and were not disappointed. Lots of Americans in the audience to see if history was correctly told. Apparently it had been.

Wonderful to be so near Victoria Station for our journey home.

Wondering where this last year has gone! How can I be a year older today already?? Lots of gratefuls for all the cards, greetings and calls I’ve received.

I voted first thing.. of course. D had had a postal vote but came with me to see things from the other side after so many years as a Presiding Officer!
