The Rainbow in Spain

... lies mainly on the plain. And the light so beautiful on fields of yellow. 

And then the jagged limestone peaks of the Picos de Europa. Retracing our steps when we were fleeing to England for Julia and Tom's wedding.

 Staying in Hotel Presa in Riaño, the same hotel that took us in when we thought we'd have to sleep in our cold car with no blankets. As soon as we asked if they remembered, they excitedly started telling everyone about that night, so must have been as memorable for them as for us.

Gratefuls:
- getting away earlier than expected, given that Mike had to go to Reguengos to buy things we´d forgotten, and then a stop at Sandra's to buy local honey and other bits, and to give our post office key to Ermelinda
- smooth trip through Spain, and Mike´s driving
- arriving here in Riaño, still able to see the mountains (unlike last time), and getting the hotel right, hadn´t been absolutely sure when I booked
