Glory Days . . . Bruce Springsteen
Andrew had arranged a blip meet at a popular cafe beside the Haven. I was early on purpose and walked in the sunshine and still conditions taking photographs. A young chap struck up a conversation with me because he has a Fuji camera. I enjoyed talking cameras and photography with him and showed him blip on my phone. He was meant to be working so we parted but he showed me his shots of a little boat with reflection and the entrance to the Haven. It was much better composed than mine so you get a building instead.
It is a heritage building built as offices for the Anchor & Foundry Co Ltd which opperated from 1866 - 1986. They were Nelson's main source of engineering trades and skills. The building later housed a distillery and a printers. It is now owned by Nelson City Council and is earthquake-prone so there she sits waiting . Across the road are appartments with sublime views over the water. Could this one day be the same.
