A bright sky instead
of cloud is always a good
thing in my 'pinion!

I texted my friend M at 6 AM to say I was coming her way with some asparagus. She texted back to say "Give me time to wake up." So I headed off to Tranquille first. 

I stopped to get a long shot of Tranquille looking across the wetlands pond. There's no cattle left on the pasture land now. I stopped across from the pond but only say a couple of Canada geese and some ducks. There can't be much food left in the pond now. It needs to be refreshed with the river when spring runoff begins. 

I parked under the osprey nest. I could see a bit of a head above it. Mama must be nesting. As I looked up an osprey soared over my head with something clutched in its claws. It landed in the nest but soon left to perch on top of an abandoned building a short distance away. 

I got a shot of my mountains in the distance behind the wetlands pond. All was quiet. There were no trains parked on the rail lines and none rattling by. 

I stopped at M's house for a quick visit and an asparagus delivery. Now, I'm in for the day.
