The Old Church on the Hill

Located in Limerick, Maine, not far from me, this church was built in 1852 on the site of the original meeting house which was constructed in 1792.  It has an interesting old burial ground adjacent.  Efforts are underway to restore it.  So many historic churches in Maine are in need of restoration.  What attracted me to this view of it is the way you can see the landscape through the windows, and it seemed suitable for a monochrome image.  I really want to work more in black and white this year.  Returning to my roots photographically speaking.
