Mise en place (2)

Today's concert was in Sigean, on the coast. The weather was dismal there -- it rained all afternoon, but given the two-year drought we certainly shouldn't complain.

We haven't sung in this church before. Correction: apparently we have, in 2018, although strangely I don't remember it at all. The acoustics are better than yesterday's, and I liked the sculpted clouds round this window. The figure in the niche below is nicely done too. 

I didn't have a photography assistant today, so this is the only chance I got to snap a quick photo. There was a better turnout than yesterday, including a choir member's fan club, who leapt up and burst into a storm of applause as soon as the last note had been played. So we did an encore. There were still a few mistakes, but it went pretty well. And the Mairie provided coffee and biscuits beforehand, and wine, fruit juice, quiche and cold pizza afterwards. Home by eight. A rest till next weekend now.
