Going cuckoo

Bertie and I were out with the cuckoos this morning. They seemed to be calling us from all angles. I was very excited to get a brief sighting of two of them at quite close range, one chasing the other over the small rise beside the track where we were walking.
This view is looking out over my favourite beach, with the ferry heading for Coll and Tiree. The Cairns of Coll are the small rocky islands on the left of the shot.
I was sad to hear that we are losing one of our small congregation at church as she has to return south to support her son and grandson. She really doesn’t want to leave the island but knows that she is needed by her family.
