Tortoises

I love that one can find tortoises wandering the woods and gardens of Turkey. I spotted these two this afternoon.
The top one is about 25cm long and the other about 15.
Had a lovely lazy day today relaxing by the pool, it was around 25° most of the day. I decided that as I was on holiday I should have a swim - so did. Hopefully it will make subsequent days easier having been in once!
The hotel is very strange - it only opened for the season yesterday so there are under 20 couples here. No problem getting a sunbed and nice and calm. Just how we like it. We thought we'd have another largely hotel based day tomorrow then head for the market in Fethiye on Tuesday.
I amused the staff this afternoon. As usual I put our cases on top of the wardrobe except that this time, when I put our soft hand luggage bag up, it disappeared! It turns out that there was no top over the end panel of the fitted wardrobe so it fell straight down to floor level, six feet below.
Try explaining that in a foreign language. Fortunately I had the flash (haha) of genius and stood on a chair and pointed my phone down to take a picture with the flash on, to show what had happened.
They sent a technician who removed the panel, took out the bag and put it all back together again. Life is never dull.
