Sally Mair - Loving life

By Sallymair

Dirty dancing!

I went to Broxburn today and on the way back I popped into Lidl where I picked up some courgette plants. They looked pretty good and saved me the choice of buying more seeds or planting a couple of my three year old ones.
On my way out I spotted this collection of cherry pickers and my imagination went into overdrive as I imagined them lining up for a Strip the Willow or similar! I loved the way their baskets were at different heights, I really felt there was a sense of movement to them. I could almost hear the rhythm and clapping! (Perhaps it's just as well I'm not allowed out on my own too often, lol)
Ali and Josie popped in after their swim this afternoon. After lunch she put Josie down for her nap reckoning she is be tired. .Not a bit of it, I've never known a child like her. She didn't sleep, but lay in her cot singing Twinkle twinkle and Baa baa black sheep to herself for almost two hours! She's such a contented little girl. Ali says she doesn't talk to her mum friends about Josie's sleeping pattern, as so many of them have problems.
We went out this evening to Cafe Andaluz in George Street with some friends. Colin was going to a concert with them in the Assembly Rooms, so it made a good meeting point.
My extra is of the three chrysanthemum blooms which came in a bunch of flowers from Katy on Easter Sunday, they've lasted so well.
Oops, almost forgot, last Friday in the month so here's the National Gallery's Art Quiz for April, 7/10 for me, some really tricky ones. Good luck!
