Life in 1404

Yesterday I went to the castle for a very quick visit.  There is a re-enactment this weekend where Welsh rebel leader Owain Glyndwr is attacking the English at Whittington Castle.

I didn't have time to stay for the battle but did get round to see the living history going on around the site.

In the evening I played for a ceilidh in Shrewsbury with band #1. It was in aid of a cycling charity and they must have made a fair bit of money as there was a large turnout.  A good time was had by all.
