Lymm and West Kirby

Saturday 20 April
Last night, Janet realized she had lost one of her earrings while we were out at the restaurant, so after breakfast she was going to drive over there, just in case it had come out on the pavement while she was helping Bernard out of the car. She had messaged the restaurant, but of course they weren’t open yet. She suggested we could go with her and have a walk around Lymm at the same time. It seemed a bit of a long shot, but luck was with us, and she did find it on the pavement -:the restaurant is on the edge of the village, so not many people would be walking by. It was a bit bent, but repairable. So, that happily resolved, we returned into the center of the village and went for a walk along the Bridgewater Canal, and around the village. In the afternoon, the weather was still fine and sunny, so we picked Bernard up, and we all went for a drive to the Wirral peninsula, to West Kirby, and went for a lovely walk around the Marine lake, where there were several small sailing boats out on the water - including a sailing class for children we presumed. It was low tide, so there was a vast expanse of sand, and lots of families were out enjoying it. Some people were walking out to Hilbre Island, which is accessible at low tide. You can see it in the distance in the extra photograph I have added.
