Happy 10th Birthday Kelpies

Today is the Kelpies 10th birthday. A friend and I went over to pay them a visit on their special day.We arrived for the all-day celebrations starting at 10.00am, along with many hundreds of others, and stayed for a couple of hours. I’m so glad the weather was bright and sunny.The Kelpies are the largest equine sculptures in the world and it was lovely to see lots of Clydesdale horses (the inspiration for Andy Scott’s sculptures) from across Scotland, getting ready for their appearance in the show ground, majestic animals. Tonight there will be a concert and a ceilidh to finish off the celebrations.
