Northern Exposure

Stare down

A day out west for a visit to HMS Tern, or Twatt airfield if you prefer, to kick off a new work project. Should be a fun one to be involved in, lots of potential and a great bunch of enthusiastic folk.

Afterwards I popped in to Kirbuster museum as I wanted to see the refurbished parts before I take my Swedish ‘wool & walking’ visitors to visit in a few weeks time. One of the things the guests will be keen to see is the North Ronaldsay sheep that live there. Hopefully they will be as curious as they were today and come say hello.

I’m never quite sure about North Ron sheep. Always feels like they are far cleverer than other sheep breeds and are giving you a very assessing stare. I reckon it’s best not to turn your back on one of these wee woolly beasties.
