I'm CURIOUS?
Why is it that, it seems everybody who wants/needs, for whatever reason, to live without meat must have pseudo-meat somewhere or other in their menu?
I've had this mutter before; some, as above, go so far as to include a "meaty" name. Could these, for instance, be called simply "Rashers" without the prefix?
As is my wont - I had to check; the very use of the word "Rasher" implies Bacon.
"rasher
noun
A thin slice of fried or broiled bacon.
A dish or an order of thin slices of fried or broiled bacon.
A thin slice of bacon"
- BUT - that said, why add the word at all? Obvious?? They, couldn't entitle it "THIS isn't", could they?
