Birthday Boy

Birthday Boy, & Girl, & Dad.
April 24th, my Dad would have been 96, I’m 71 and my sister 65.
I celebrated by heading out to the Eden Project for my second week with the Defence Gardening Scheme, Joshua came with me whilst Mrs S and Sam stayed at home scheming!
Good gardening, this week watering with a nettle ‘soup’ mix and water followed by planting a complete raised bed, more on that tomorrow.

Home to open my cards and gifts, spoilt as ever, plants from Sam, a driftwood anchor with metal plate figures, octopus, sea horse and turtle from Mrs S, Sam and Josh along with 2kg of Monkey Nuts, 1kg of instant coffee and 240 coffee bags from Joshua & Tiana - as I said thoroughly spoilt.
My evening meal was a banquet, Greek Salad, cheese & pesto flatbreads, burritos, wraps of various descriptions, muffins, different flavoured macaroons, and a chocolate brownie birthday cake. There was enough of everything there to feed us for a day or two but it was so nice.

The evening was spent catching up with everyone and reading around 100 social media “Happy Birthday” messages.
