Placid cows
Today's walk took us high above the village of Conat over mediaeval bridges, past isolated chapels and orris and in among the grazing cattle. It was a steep climb, over 650 metres, but only 10 kilometres of walking. Having said that, the ground underfoot was rocky and great care had to be taken on some of the narrow and precipitous paths. There was a strong wind in the more exposed spots but for part of the day we were walking through woods and had some protection. There were just four of us today.
