A Happy Sant Jordi

Bb had his second post op check this morning and it was all good. The pathologist’s report was all clear and the Dr changed his head and leg bandages and there was no infection and the skin graft is ‘taking’ well. Another huge relief. Next appointment is Friday.

We walked back from the hospital - a 40 min stroll - and had a chicken and cheese sandwich for lunch. Bb did desk work in the afternoon and I tackled the patio weeds - lots of them - and so we can now see the plants again!

Another walk before dinner, which was a big bowl of soup goodness, made from the chicken stock with carrots, potatoes, onions, spinach and ginger added. Served with crusty bread. Sunday’s roast chicken has been well and truly used!

It’s Sant Jordi today and the sun shone on and on ff for it. Bb bought me a rose and I bought him two books on Kindle - This is Happiness, recommended by Amando Alentejo and North Woods recommended by Veronica. I’m looking first to reading both ;-) I usually buy a paper book for today from one of the specially-set-up street stalls, but we were too tired and hungry on our evening walk to go up to Avenida Diagonal.
