In Bologna this time.
We got up and left our apartment for the last time to catch the train to Bologna. It was the fanciest and most pricey train we had been on yet. We called Alison and talked about her crazy Marathon day which made us all cry. Then we recapped all the meals we had had in Italy which was a thoroughly enjoyable exercise, I had sort of forgotten some already.
It was absolutely pouring in Bologna (well, in Florence too actually). We walked from the station, they are well set up for rain with all their covered archways. With our finely honed instinct, found a lovely lunch spot, I had lasagne bianca- v tasty, then a cab back to the station, pick up our bags, replace my bus back to the airport.
Ohhh, huge queues at the airport. They are doing it up apparently and this is making it all super busy. A good hour in the security queue but it all moved quite fast. Nearly finished my book on the plane, collected the stupidly fancy BMW replacement car, home by midnight. Tired, so very tired!!
What a fab trip though!!
