Cruising down the River Wear ......

...... at a very sedate speed so that we could see everything the skipper told us about. A very popular stretch of water for rowing but we only saw one boat ..... guess the students were all at lectures.

Prior to our sail I took the wee bus from the market square up to the cathedral. My visit was all too short but the staff on duty were so helpful in directing me to the various areas, not forgetting the cafe!
