A Day At A Time.

The Bay Of Algeciras

This evening we popped across the border into Gibraltar to see John Bishop's stand up show in St Michael's Cave (see extra).

He was funny and a very good raconteur, keeping us amused with stories about his life, from his gun-running Irish ancestors to his battle with a Dalek.

However, I think his stories would have been just as effective if he had limited the f-word to 1-in-10 instead of 1-in-4. It seems that every comedian has to do this when they get a live audience not on TV.

Having said that, he was very entertaining, but brief. 75 minutes and it was all over. It seems he had a second show at 9.

So, emerging from the cave in the early evening, we all went to Las Cañas, a lovely fish restaurant back over the border in Spain, hidden away in the suburbs of La Linea.

And so it was late when I returned to Bruno. He was quite happy snoozing on the sofa, having chased himself ragged in the dog park with Duke earlier in the afternoon.

We all had a lovely peaceful night.
