Duntreath Ponds
I walked to the Duntreath Ponds this morning in glorious sunshine. It was so still there were great reflections of the hills. There were quite a few pairs of geese. The greylag geese and Canada geese seem to co-exist happily. I had to check here to be sure of the identification.

The first extra shows a pair of Canada geese and the second is a pair of greylag geese. The greylags have the pretty pink legs. The swans are nesting so only the male was in evidence. He was having a nap on one of the small islands. One of last year's cygnets was still there but in the furthest pond well away from the adults.
