Seeking the shade

I spent all today at the TMC tournament in Prades. It was pleasantly warm, but the wind in the afternoon made playing very difficult. It is a relatively new format which allows all players to play three short matches in a day. Each set is up to 4 not 6. There are no advantages, just one decisive point at 40 all. If it is one set all there is a super tiebreak of 10 points. There were two tournaments, all for players in the same classification category, one tournament for the higher ranked players and one for the lower ranked players. I was in the first group and progressed to the final, which I lost! Never mind. It was a convivial day and they laid on a decent lunch.
