CHAPTER 2

that was my sister in laws idea.
Chapter 1 was pre-op…we’ve been really busy trying (and often failing) to distract ourselves from yesterday.
Today we start Chapter 2….the slow slow recovery.
J drove us over to the hospital; collecting O on route. We got there at 10:30. One of The Revs colleagues was there praying with him. The lads stopped for a few hours then J had to go to work (who have put a bit of pressure on him over having 2 half days !!!) O went to visit Mum.
#I spent a bit of time here in the hospital garden getting a bit of nature therapy. It’s all very overwhelming atm.
The Rev was in a lot of pain and very immobile but shock horror he was discharged only 20 hours after the operation. They even said he could take out his own catheter!!!!’ ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!!
The Rev’s brother drove us home very very slow trying really hard to avoid the pot holes!!!
We had been left a bag of ready meals and tucked into cottage pie and trifles! More there for tomorrow.
Slowly, slowly managed to get The Rev up to bed and then set my alarm to go off every 2 hours to check on him.
