PRAYERS

Lots of wishes and prayers were raised today by us and for us as The Rev had the operation to stop the cancer spreading…that’s the plan.
The news that hit us 11 weeks ago has been building to today.
After dropping Daisy off at school; as she is going to my head teacher for a couple of days, we were collected by E at 9:30 who took us to St George’s hospital. It was a good journey and we were there an hour early so a coffee stop was called for!
After lots of checks (all good) he went down for the operation at 1oclock.
O and I had lunch and then decided we didn’t want to stay in the hospital for another 4 hours so caught the bus to J&S (his brother). It was nice to have cuppa and chat in comfort. O even had a snooze!!!
J got to us at 4 and we headed back for 5. Unfortunately we had another 4 hours wait as he didn’t get up to the ward until 9!!!! We were anxious, tired and hungry.
The Rev was very tearful and in some pain.
He said it was so much worse than the kidney donation. But it’s behind him now so now it’s the slow and gentle recovery. He did say we wouldn’t be able to dance!!!!
We got home at 10:30 to late for J to eat and too late for me but I had a something.

Glad to be in bed by 11:30. and that J decided to stay the night.
