The Morning After.........
............the (wet) night before. This is my red Lily which opened yesterday but the pictures were disappointing. It rained on Tuesday night - quite heavily - and the lily looked much nicer this morning - so here she is, rain drops and all, straight out of the camera but cropped - and yes, she really is as red as this!!
"Be still, sad heart and stop repining.
Behind the clouds is the sun, still shining
Thy fate is the common fate of all
Into each life, some rain must fall"
from part of poem "Rainy Day" by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
Weather this morning is dry but raindrops everywhere - temperature at around 63 deg.F.
Anni now in New Jersey - she has posted a wonderful Red Bellied Woodpecker and says she is spoilt for choice there! - didn't know there was such a bird - I live and learn!
Have a very good day everyone.
Larger is quite good too!
