EATIN' DIRT

I know it's Flower Friday and we actually have some flowers blooming outside...mostly dandelions. But I was too busy to shoot flowers today having spent the morning editing soccer and baseball photos and then attending the 2nd funeral this week and right after that heading to the track to pick up my ID materials as I have to be trackside Saturday morning.  Then it was off to the high school for a little softball in the rain.

The home team player decided to try to make it safe to home plate on a bad pitch.  But she wasn't quite fast enough as the pitcher covered the plate, got the ball from the catcher and tagged her out as she slid headfirst into the plate.  Yes....she ate a little dirt thanks to the rain.

But no worries, the home team won the game 13-3.
