My Light Shines On

I've been trying for days to get the battery 'hatch' open on this, been gently nudging with a screwdriver, had a few of the boys at work look at it too but it's beaten us all. I emailed the manufacturers today and they replied to say that the bit on the side that says 'open' and 'close' is where the batteries go, not the imaginary opening bit on the top that doesn't open. I thought 'open' and 'close' was posh for 'on' and 'off'. Evidently not. I feel a bit of an eejit but am enlightened on every level.

Elsewhere, I saw a woman screeching at her children today, trying to avoid them hurling themselves in front of moving vehicles. Otto and Virgil were their names. Mmmmm.
