Cooper Hawk?
We all slept soundly last night. We were awake and up early this morning. It has been sunny but cooler today (temps in mid 60°F.). Our last day at the farm is always a busy one. We completed three loads of laundry including our linens. Found summer sheets for the bed and made it. Dusted the furniture, etc. Hubby vacuumed our level. Emptied the dishwasher. Repacked what will be going home. My sister and BIL had outside jobs including trimming the lawn. They will be staying until Sunday. While eating lunch, our BIL spotted this hawk on top of the bird feeder. That may be why birds are so scarce this week. Seek says it’s a Cooper’s hawk; we’re thinking a juvenile. I had no idea what to blip today, glad it stopped by. We are going to the local pub for wings tonight. It will be nice for all of us to take the night off from kitchen duties. Doctors hope to remove part of the brain tumor tomorrow from my children’s father. We offered to let them stay here if they come up for the surgery. We have a benefit dinner at our firehouse tomorrow evening. We will get on the road early and make minimal stops. Hope you have fun plans for the upcoming weekend. Stay safe. Thanks for dropping by. “ADVICE FROM A HAWK: Soar to new heights / Be a keen observer / Swoop down on opportunities / Rise above it all / Spread your wings / Find a field that suits you / The sky's the limit!” - Llan Shamir
