We got here

We started off in the sunshine. It was a pleasant morning, which was a relief because it had been very very windy overnight. 

We stopped at Latterbarrow for Fletch. It was a bit soggy so we didnt walk far..

On to the M6 and gradually the weather changed , sunshine then heavy rain then sunshine then rain.. etc.
We d been travelling less than an hour when the traffic slowed down to a crawl. My sat nav showed a clear road (!) So we kept on although I was tempted to leave whe we reached the next Junction. It seemed to take forever but we were moving .. most of the time, albeit very slowly. 
Finally on to a quiet M61 and then on to M60 then my SatNav decided our turn off at junction 24 was closed and it took me off the motorway into some unknown town, leading me in a big circle and them back onto the motorway to junction24 which wasnt  closed,!

The rest of the journey was ok if slow due to HGVs and speed cameras. Our stop at Lakgsett was brief as it wa icy cold..  more like winter. 

But.... we arrived at the hotel.  The sun came out and we managed a walk in the sunshine, shielded from the icy winds by a high hedge. 

And now...... breathe...... and relax!
