Remembering the Børsen
I took this picture in 2015, when P and I visited Copenhagen. Our hotel was in the city centre, and we walked past this iconic building of the old stock exchange every day; admiring its renaissance gables and beautiful spire. It is, or rather was, one of the oldest and best-known buildings in Copenhagen.
This morning it burned down during renovation works; 400 years after it was erected. A huge loss that saddened us deeply.
In other news: The temperature has dropped to 8°C (max), it's very windy and wet out there, and I only ventured out to go to the gym and do some shopping. The gym visit was difficult, as if something had sapped all the strength out of my muscles. I hope it's just the effect of yesterday's celebratory wine, and not some kind of bug.
