Woke up to lashing rain and very strong wind. Found out later that a mini tornado had passed through around 7.30, and many houses in the town have lost ridge and roof tiles, chimneys have completely been blown down and numerous trees are blocking the local streets. The centre of this was less than a mile away from me but fortunately there was no damage immediately around my area.
I went to the sewing group as usual this morning. We have started to piece together the individual pieces of patchwork that people have been working on. This will eventually become a bed quilt. Went from there to return a couple if things to Sainsburys and to do some food shopping before driving over to my Bridge class. I played with some people I haven’t played with before, they were welcoming. We only have two lessons left now.
