An Accidental Garden
Len and I both agreed today that the back garden was looking 'alright' despite our having done absolutely no work on it over the winter. Bluebells and forget me not have begun to flower, daffodils and tulips are fading and unrecognisable plants are covering the ground effectively.
In contrast to our neighbour who spent half a day on Saturday on his hands and knees prising unwanted plants out of his border.
It was a very gusty day which you might be able to tell from the blur of the leaves on the apple tree. I don't anticipate much blossom on it this year. We left it far too late for pruning.
Honesty has self seeded yielding purple flowers in the border and round the corner, wall flowers that I planted 2-3 years ago are blooming.
Basil, as you can see, is taking advantage of being let out by relieving himself.
