Bus Pass Walk

Backblip for Tuesday 9/4.  Just noticed my photos from the walk were missing - I must not have pressed "submit"!  Alighting the bus at Gilstead we walked through Milner Field and down to the river which was very fast and rough. There we were somewhat delayed - a chap had crawled along a very thin branch over the weir and was just staring at the rushing water. We daren't call out to him in case he slipped, and we couldn't get eye contact.  We decided there was a "concern for safety" so B rang the ambulance service for advice. After giving them our location via "What 3 Words" the chap suddenly realised we were there.  Thankfully he edged back along the branch and got onto the bank.  Asked if he was okay, but of course we got told where to go as he matched off up the path.  He looked to be homeless - hopefully the emergency services located him and checked if he was okay. We went for a much needed coffee then walked back to Bingley along the canal in pouring rain.  We were soaked by the time we got to The Loft for lunch - we even left puddles, lol!  We go have some eventful walks at times!  Main photo from the bridge at Dowley Gap through the spring foliage.   In extras you can see how the river was raging - there would have been no chance for someone falling in there.
