Lincoln 10k

SUNDAY

I was up early for breakfast at the hotel, and then caught up with Harriet, George and others to walk to the start of this morning's Lincoln 10 k race. Harriet and George arrived in Lincoln last night after travelling from their mini honeymoon in Cornwall. 

For me, the weather conditions this morning were ideal for running - sunny, dry, a slight breeze and temperatures of around 14ºC. I finished the 10k in just under 58 minutes which I was happy with.

This afternoon we visited the Newark Air Museum which is run by volunteers and boasts an impressive display of mainly ex RAF aircraft. We were allowed inside the Avro Shackleton by and given a run down of the plane by a knowledgeable volunteer who just happens to be one of its former crew members (see extra).
